Summary
YouTube Utils uses a small amount of browser storage to remember your theme and sidebar preferences. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.
Features that display YouTube content can connect directly to YouTube and Google after you choose to generate or use them. Those services may use their own cookies or similar technologies under their policies.
What these technologies are
A cookie is a small text value stored by your browser for a website. Local storage is another browser feature that allows a preference to remain on your device without using a cookie. Similar technologies can also store or access information on a device.
Temporary application memory is used to preserve tool results while you navigate between pages. It is not a cookie and is normally cleared by a full refresh or when the application session ends.

These preferences support functionality requested through the site. They are not used to follow you across websites, build an advertising profile, or measure marketing performance.
Third-party storage and requests
YouTube and Google
When you use a feature that loads a YouTube player, playlist, thumbnail, or public video information, your browser connects to Google or YouTube domains. Embedded players may store or access cookies, local storage, or similar identifiers. Their names and durations are controlled by Google and may vary depending on your browser, Google account, region, consent settings, and interaction with the player.
Where a tool offers YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed mode, it uses the youtube-nocookie.com domain. According to YouTube, this prevents an embedded view from being used to personalise the viewer's later YouTube experience. It does not make the player independent of Google or guarantee that no device storage will ever be used.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare provides hosting, delivery, and security services. Security features may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technology, for example when verifying legitimate traffic or completing a security challenge. The exact technology used depends on which Cloudflare security features are active and whether a request is challenged.

Advertising and analytics
YouTube Utils does not currently place advertising or analytics cookies. We may introduce advertising, including Google AdSense, or an analytics service in the future.
Before those technologies are enabled, this policy and the Privacy Policy will be updated. Where required, a suitable consent platform will prevent non-essential storage until you make a choice and will provide a way to review or change that choice.
How to control browser storage
Most browsers let you inspect, delete, or block cookies and local storage through their privacy or site-data settings. You can clear the theme value and sidebar_state cookie at any time. Blocking them may reset visual preferences but should not prevent the core tools from working.
Blocking third-party cookies, scripts, or embedded content may stop YouTube previews, players, playlist imports, or metadata from loading. Your Google and YouTube privacy choices can also affect how embedded content behaves.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated when storage practices change, including before YouTube Utils introduces its own advertising or analytics technology. The effective date at the top of the page identifies the current version.
